Russell Talton Obituary, Death – Virginia State Police have now officially identified the driver involved in the accident that occurred on the evening of September 9th in Campbell County. The driver has been recognized as Russell B. Talton, Jr., a 66-year-old resident of Bedford, Virginia.
Tragically, Mr. Talton did not survive the accident and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. It was determined that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident.
Upon conducting a thorough investigation into the matter, law enforcement has established that the accident unfolded as follows: A 2012 Chevrolet Camaro was traveling along Lynbrook Rd. when, for reasons yet to be determined, it veered off the road and entered a yard before ultimately colliding with a residential house.
Remarkably, there were two individuals present inside the house when the collision occurred. Fortunately, and perhaps miraculously, there were no reported injuries sustained by the occupants of the house despite the significant impact of the accident.
As of now, the circumstances surrounding the crash remain under active investigation by the Virginia State Police. Law enforcement is diligently working to piece together the events leading up to the accident and to establish the factors that contributed to this unfortunate incident.
