Rosetta Poyner Obituary, Death –It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Rosetta Bryant Poyner, affectionately known as Renee’, who peacefully departed from this earthly life on September 5, 2023, at the age of 66. Her life was a testament to love, strength, and unwavering faith.
To honor and celebrate her remarkable journey, a Life Celebration Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 12:00 noon at Corner Stone Missionary Baptist Church in Elizabeth City, NC. Reverend Antonio Williams, the church’s Pastor, will preside over the service, with Elder J. C. Purkett officiating. Following the service, Rosetta will find her eternal rest in Dove’s Landing Cemetery.
A wake in remembrance of Rosetta will take place on Friday, from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., at Eastern Star Church of God in Christ, Elizabeth City, NC, providing an opportunity for friends and loved ones to pay their respects and share their fond memories.
The Poyner family will be receiving friends at the home of Rosetta’s daughter, Chanta Poyner, located at 410 New Jersey Avenue, Elizabeth City, NC, where the warmth of their hospitality will offer solace to those seeking comfort during this time of loss.
Rosetta Bryant Poyner’s legacy of love, resilience, and faith will forever be cherished by her family and the community she touched. Her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her to live with the same grace, kindness, and faith that she so beautifully embodied throughout her life.
