Robert Daniels Obituary, Death – On the day that would have been his 95th birthday, April 15, 2014, Kansasville resident Robert N. Daniels passed away. On April 15, 1919, he was born in Brighton Township to parents named Emil and Molly (Ketterhagen) Daniels. He was the son of the couple. He spent his entire childhood in Brighton, where he also received his education at St. Francis Xavier School. At St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Burlington on the 12th of June in 1943, he wed Lorraine C. Richter, and the ceremony took place in the United States.
They brought up their children on the farm that had been in the family for generations. On October 6, 2011, Lorraine passed away before her husband. Bob was involved with the Catholic Order of Foresters, AMPI, and the Holy Name Society in addition to being a member of St. Francis Xavier Church. In addition to being an accomplished carpenter and card player, he cherished spending time with his loved ones, especially his children and grandchildren.
His children, Kenneth (Kathleen) Daniels, Diane (James) Eckhart, Thomas (Louise) Daniels, Allen (Charlene) Daniels, Joan (Tim) Warren, Jerome (Barb) Daniels, and Dale (Donna) Daniels, are the ones who will carry on his legacy after he has passed away. He is also survived by his siblings, Rose Agnes (Don) Vos, Rita Vos, Richard (Doris) Daniels, and Romona Ludwig; his sisters-in-law, Rosemary Daniels and Ann Richter; and his 24 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren, with two more on the way.
His parents, his wife Lorraine, his brother Art Daniels, his sisters Mary (Urban) Mich, Barbara (Ted) Thuemmler, and Kathleen Daniels (an infant), as well as his brothers- and sisters-in-law, all passed away before him. Vivian Richter, Sr., Arthur Vos, Leo Ludwig, Clarence Richter (Eleanor), Albert Richter, and Loretta Vogt (Fred). In particular, the family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Art Rein and Dr. Nicholas Webber, as well as the nurse at the Aurora VNA, Wendy McBride, the physical therapist Glenn Rubach, and the staff at Home Helpers of Burlington.
