Richard was not only deeply loved by his family but was also highly regarded within his community. Born on March 17, 1960, in Williamsburg, VA, he pursued a career in service. He attended Virginia Tech before dedicating himself to the James City County Fire Department, where he served as a paramedic, firefighter, and was part of the dive team. Richard’s commitment to helping others extended beyond his local community; he was also a member of FEMA Virginia Task Force-2, providing aid to those in need in various locations.
