Marilyn Blanc Obituary, Remembering Marilyn Daigle-Blanc: A Life of Resilience and Inspiration

Marilyn Blanc Obituary, Death – It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of my dear mother, Marilyn Daigle-Blanc’s passing. After a courageous battle with lung disease, she pea cefully transitioned from this world to the next on September 5, 2023, at the age of 79. Just three weeks ago, we welcomed her into our home for end-of-life hospice care, where she spent her final days surrounded by love.

My mother was a remarkable woman, characterized by her gentleness, strength, and generosity. She raised my sister, Christine Conroy, and me with unwavering love and care, navigating life’s challenges with compassion and determination. When I married my husband, Jerome Joseph Gentes, she embraced him as a son and welcomed him into our family with open arms.

Mom’s journey was marked by resilience and reinvention. In her late 40s, she returned to school, earning both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in psychology and theology. She embarked on a new career dedicated to serving children and families in crisis, demonstrating her belief that it’s never too late to follow one’s passions.

From my mother, I learned the importance of creating a loving and happy home, cherishing simple moments spent with family, and finding joy in each day. She emphasized the significance of place and environment and how they contribute to treasured memories.

In accordance with her wishes, we will not hold a traditional funeral. Instead, we will celebrate her life in a fitting event in the coming months, the date of which will be announced. We invite family and friends to join us in honoring her memory. For more information, please contact us at celebrate.marilyn.daigle@gmail.com.
