Maggie Duggan Obituary, Death – It is with a heavy heart that we in the Portlaoise GAA community receive the news of Maggie Duggan’s passing, a beloved resident of Dublin Road. Maggie, the loving wife of Dan, held a special place as the matriarch of an extraordinary Portlaoise GAA family.
Their dedication to the club was unwavering, and each of their children proudly donned the green and white of Portlaoise and the blue and white of Laois. Maggie and Dan, with roots in Ballybrophy, were ardent supporters of the club, taking immense pride in their children’s achievements in both football and hurling.
Ann and Noeleen excelled on the ladies’ football team, while Liam, Cyril, and the late John (may he rest in peace) shone as star players in both codes. Our thoughts and prayers are extended to the Duggan family, along with their extended relatives, during this difficult time. May Maggie find eternal peace.
