Lisa Grochmal Obituary, Death – In loving memory of Lisa Lory (Wood) Grochmal, we gather to celebrate the life of an extraordinary woman who touched the hearts of all who knew her. Lisa passed away peacefully on the evening of September 9, 2023, at her cherished Nashua, New Hampshire home, surrounded by the love and comfort of her devoted husband, Edward S. Grochmal.
Born on February 16, 1964, in Lowell, Massachusetts, Lisa was the daughter of the late Floyd “Sonny” P. Wood and Theresa A. Wood. She spent her formative years in Westford, where she attended local schools and later graduated from Nashoba Valley Technical High School. Lisa’s career journey led her to Wang Laboratories, where she dedicated over a decade of her life.
In 1995, Lisa’s life found new purpose with the arrival of her son, Adam E. Grochmal. Her entrepreneurial spirit ignited, leading her to establish a successful landscaping business in Nashua, New Hampshire, which she wholeheartedly managed for nearly twenty years.
Music, literature, and quality time with family and beloved pets were the cornerstones of Lisa’s life. Her affectionate nature as a mother and loving wife to Edward enriched the lives of those she held dear. Lisa’s vivacious, headstrong, and outgoing personality remained undiminished until her final days.
Lisa leaves behind a legacy of love. She is survived by her husband, Edward, her adored son, Adam, his fiancé, Rennae M. Allen, and a cherished grandchild. Lisa’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of her siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.
In addition to her parents, Lisa was predeceased by her late brother, Richard Smith, and her late sister-in-law, Laurie Grochmal.
To honor Lisa’s life, a service will be held at Dolans Funeral Home in Chelmsford on September 23, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a gathering at The Fish and Game club in Westford, Massachusetts. As we gather to remember Lisa, we find solace in the enduring love and cherished memories she leaves behind.
