Leanna Holbrook Obituary, Death – At her residence, Leanna Grace May Holbrook, 69, a lifelong resident of Connersville, passed away early on August 10, 2023. She was one of the six children born to Frank L. and Reva Vivian Holland May on August 9, 1954, in Rushville. With the class of 1972, she received her high school diploma from Connersville.
She wed James Holbrook in the Garrison Creek Baptist Church on July 17, 1993. She owned and ran Leanna’s Barbershop in Connersville for more than 30 years. Leanna was a kind person who loved her family and was constantly seeking for ways to lend a hand. Survivors include her husband of thirty years, James Holbrook; five children, Jack Anthony (Michelle) Messer of Connersville, Larry Lee (Maricela) Lephart of Jacksonville, Florida, Matthew J. (Ann) Holbrook of Great Falls, Montana, Mary E. (Rick) Holbrook-Eck of Mason, Ohio, and Stacey Ann Holbrook of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a brother, Charles A. (Jerry Lou) May of Connersville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her stepson James Harold Francis Holbrook, who died on November 14, 2022, as well as her four siblings Eugene May, Linda May Willhelm, Cynthia Stokes, and Rebecca “Becky” Jane May also predeceased her. On Wednesday, August 16, 2023, friends may call at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. At 1:00 p.m., a funeral service will be conducted under the direction of Reverend Jeff Johnson. In Orange Cemetery, there will be a burial.
