Larry Miller Obituary, Death – On Tuesday, September 12, 2023 in Augusta, Georgia, Larry Joseph Miller, 75 of Lincolnton died surrounded by family and friends. The late Leo and Zelma Cecelia Bridges Miller had him on February 15, 1948, in Cumberland, Maryland. Ft Hill High School alumni Larry was reared Catholic in Cumberland. After that, he proudly served in the US Army in Vietnam. Having learned a strong work ethic in Maryland, he moved to Bedford, PA, and worked at the Kelly Tire Factory until its closing. Larry moved to Lincolnton in 1983 and started painting for Augusta Local #1730 during Plant Vogtle’s development.
Larry and Mike Graham founded L&M Painting in 1993 using their handy skills. He painted passionately till his health declined a year before his death. Larry’s outdoor passion was obvious. The Bucket Mouth Bassmaster’s Club and Blue Line Fishing Club allowed him to fish and boat. His love of water extended to the lake, where he spent hours relaxing. Larry loved the Georgia Bulldogs. His Harley Davidson and hotrod obsession showed his love of adventure. Larry was devoted to his family, including his wife, Elizabeth Hale, with whom he spent 24 years; children, Eric Miller and wife Amy of Lincolnton, Monte Miller and fiancée Erica Miller of Lincolnton, Andrea M. Anderson and husband Payton of Dahlonega, and Kyle Miller and wife Cara of Lincolnton.
Larry leaves his brothers, Steve Miller and wife Janet of Augusta, Ben Miller and wife Jane of Evans, Fred Miller and wife Dee of Pennsylvania, Ronnie Miller and wife Linda of Arizona, and Royce Miller and wife Renee of Lincolnton, as well as his grandchildren, Megan M. Cunningham, Cameron Miller, Abigail Miller, Breanna Beverly, Elliott Lance, Miller Lance, Emerie Miller He also enjoyed being a great-grandfather to Hensley Hoch and his Overlook Crew. Larry loved his family and regularly expressed his pride in them. Larry’s life showed his perseverance, dedication, and love for family. His handywork, love of the outdoors, and Georgia Bulldogs fandom will always be remembered.
Larry’s family affection will be remembered most. His loved ones will carry on his legacy. Beggs Funeral Home in Lincolnton will host a visitation from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, September 15, 2023, followed by a celebration of life.
