Lain Cooper Obituary, Death – To all members of the Withycombe RFC We are deeply sorry to tell you of the demise of Iain Cooper, but doing so at the request of his family is what compels us to do so. Iain was a senior player at the club in addition to being a junior parent, team photographer, match report writer, social member, club supporter, and a wonderful friend to many people who were involved with Withycmbe RFC.
Our sincere condolences, love, and support go out to Alison, Emily, Will, and Heather from everyone at the club. On Wednesday, August 16th, unfortunately, Iain had an unexpected heart attack while he was at Budleigh Beach. After a swim, he and his wife of 26 years, Alison, sat on the beach with a glass of wine in hand to watch the sun go down while taking in the scenery.
He is an extremely proud father to Emily, Will, and Heather, and his loyal and devoted dog, Ruby, is never too far away. What a surprise that was to all of us. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 1st, 2023 at 2:30 pm at St. John the Evangelist Church on Withycombe Road in Exmouth EX8 3AE (this is also the location where we got married).
Everyone is welcome, After the service, there will be a celebration of Iain’s life at the Withycombe Rugby Club, where everyone is invited to attend and recall the wonderful times. The easiest place to park is at the rugby club, and from there it is only a five-minute walk along the pathway to the church.
