Jord Meachum Obituary, Death Cause – Jord’s time spent working at Leader Creek Fisheries in Naknek, Alaska, during the summers was among the most memorable experiences of his life. Not only because of the stunning views, but also because of the enduring friendships he established throughout his time there, these priceless experiences had a particular place in his heart and he would never forget them. Jord is survived by his doting parents, Tom and Kelli, as well as his siblings, Kristiana, William, Benjhamin, Isabelle, Gabriel, Xander, Emett, Olivia, and Asher, all of whom live in Pleasant Valley. Jord passed away unexpectedly on April 15, 2018.
His great-grandmother, Maurine Yardley, as well as his grandparents, Rita Meachem and Michael and Sherri Yardley, and his great-great-grandmother, Rita Meachem, all had happy memories of him. Jord also leaves behind a large number of relatives, including aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom will cherish his memory. Even though Jord’s passing has left a hole in our lives that will never be filled, we take comfort in the fact that he is now again with his ancestors and loved ones who have passed on before him. These include his grandfather Stanley, his uncle Alexander, his aunt Rebecca, his cousin Courtney Jenson, and his cherished canine companion, “Gelly.”
On Saturday, September 2, at one o’clock in the afternoon, funeral services to celebrate Jord’s life will be place at the Myton Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Myton. Let us remember Jord for the warmth of his soul, the love that he had for his family, and the zeal that he had for life as we come together to commemorate his memory. His memory will live on in everyone of our hearts, and the experiences that we all had together will continue to keep his light shining.
