John Bain Obituary, Death- It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of John (Johnny) Gall Bain, a beloved figure in our community. Johnny, aged 85, left us on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Faithlie Care Home. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories.
Johnny’s enduring love for his late wife, Dorothy, was evident to all who knew them. Together, they created a warm and loving home, and Johnny’s devotion to his family knew no bounds. He was the loving dad of Jacqueline and a dear father-in-law to Richard. Johnny’s pride and joy were his grandchildren, Kayleigh-ann, Stephanie, and Jemma, as well as his great-grandchildren, Lewis and Dylan, who filled his life with joy.
In addition to his roles within his family, Johnny was a dear brother, brother-in-law, and a friend to all fortunate enough to have crossed his path. His kindness, generosity, and warm-hearted nature endeared him to many, leaving lasting impressions that will be cherished for years to come.
A funeral service will be held in Johnny’s honor at the Alexander Buchan and Son Funeral Chapel on Denmark Street, Fraserburgh, on Monday, September 25, at 2 p.m. The service will be followed by a gathering at Kirkton Cemetery, where family and friends will come together to bid their final farewell.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made at the Chapel door in support of Faithlie Care Home, a place that held a special significance in Johnny’s life.
Johnny Bain will be very dearly and sadly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will continue to bring comfort and warmth to our hearts.
