Jan de Boer Obituary, Death – With heavy hearts, the team at ENEX is sharing the news of the sudden and deeply saddening loss of our long-time colleague and dear friend, Jan de Boer.
Jan’s journey with RTL4 in the Netherlands began in 1989, and he became an integral part of ENEX shortly after its inception, serving as a dedicated coordinator for our organization. Tragically, Jan’s passing occurred just days before his official retirement date from RTL4, due to a heart attack.
At his recent retirement celebration, Jan expressed his immense pride in his association with ENEX and his pivotal role in fostering the organization’s global growth. Those of you who had the privilege of interacting with Jan throughout the years will remember his boundless enthusiasm and his ability to infuse a sense of fun into our annual coordinators’ gatherings.
Jan’s absence leaves a void that will be felt profoundly by all who had the honor of knowing him. Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to his family and his colleagues at RTL, as we collectively mourn the loss of a remarkable individual who contributed immeasurably to the world of journalism.
