Gene Gable Obituary, Death – It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of my dear friend, Gene Gable. Gene dedicated 35 years of his life to the trucking industry, and our paths crossed during one of our deliveries from Aurora, CO to Calabasas.
Our mutual friends, the Tzafrirs, introduced us, and we found ourselves enjoying some Bar B Que on the back deck of the trailer with my wife, Sherry, and our daughter, Sophie. Gene was behind the wheel of his truck, and our conversation flowed naturally.
Gene was a big, burley trucker, and trucking was not just a job for him; it was his life, much like it was for Sherry, Sophie, and me. Our initial meeting led to a lasting friendship, and even after he moved to Florida, we stayed connected. We shared lunches in Louisiana and maintained regular conversations, often talking about our shared passion for trucking and life on the road.
The news of Gene’s passing leaves a void in our hearts. Sherry, Sophie, and I will always cherish the memories we created together. We pray for God’s mercy and comfort for Gene and his family during this difficult time. Rest in peace, dear brother Gene; you will be deeply missed.
