Eileen Reilly Obituary, Death – Eileen Reilly (née Bailey), a resident of Shraigh Crossroad, Bunnahowen, Belmullet, Co. Mayo, and formerly of Derreengloss, Lettermore, Co. Galway, peacefully passed away at the Aras Deirbhle Nursing Home in Belmullet on September 10, 2023. Eileen was predeceased by her loving husband, Paddy, and her parents, Michael and Eileen Bailey.
Eileen was a beloved mother to her son, Gary, and her passing leaves her heartbroken family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors, and friends deeply saddened. Eileen was known for her kind and gentle soul, and her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at McDonnell’s Funeral Home in Belmullet on Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM, with the funeral service taking place at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Glencastle, at 8:00 PM. The funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 noon, followed by her burial in Glencastle New Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the “Erris Branch of the Irish Wheelchair Association.” Donations can be sent to McDonnell Funeral Directors, Belmullet.
Eileen Reilly’s memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, and her legacy of kindness and gentleness will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her. May her kind and gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
