When the transaction took place, Uncle Dave was 95 years old and it took place on a Thursday evening. Uncle was a wealth of information, and he was always ready with a solution or a witty remark that he pretended to have heard but was obviously just making up himself. Despite this, there was always something you could do with it. If you talked to him, then you are familiar with him because you have had a conversation with him. He never engaged in conversation with anyone he did not already know.
If you were fortunate enough to be able to call him a part of your family or a close friend, then you were graced with the presence of a guy who loved you sincerely and wanted you to accomplish your full potential. He wanted you to be the best version of yourself that you could be. I remember you with respect, Uncle Dave, and I hope you find comfort in the knowledge that you did not lead a life devoid of meaning.
