Cole Cavanaugh Obituary, Beloved Resident Of Appleton, Wisconsin Has Passed Away

Cole Cavanaugh Obituary, Death – It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the unexpected passing of Cole M. Cavanaugh, a beloved member of our community. Born on February 11, 1998, in Blue Island, Cole’s vibrant spirit touched the lives of many during his 25 years on this Earth. He left us on September 11, 2023, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and love.

Cole was a proud native of Bradley, Illinois, and a 2016 graduate of Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School. He continued his academic journey at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, where he pursued his passion for numbers and became an accountant, earning him the endearing title of “professional nerd” from his brother, Mitch.

Known for his quick wit and a penchant for dad jokes, Cole had an infectious sense of humor that could brighten the darkest of days. He enjoyed testing his brother Mitch’s patience and cherished his time spent with his partner in crime, Darien. Cole was an avid video gamer, a hobby he shared with friends, even if he occasionally hogged the mic during Karaoke nights. Beyond the screen, he loved to travel, hike, and held a deep fascination for all things Jurassic Park and dinosaurs.

Cole is survived by his loving mother and stepfather, Donna and Wes White; his father and stepmother, Mike and Dina Cavanaugh; his soulmate and life partner, Darien Haffner; and his dear brother, Mitch Cavanaugh. His memory lives on through his numerous stepsiblings, nieces, nephews, and a beloved fur-nephew, Charlie.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Cole will take place on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Jensen Funeral Home, Kankakee, from 1 pm, with a memorial service at 3 pm. The event will be followed by a luncheon and karaoke, so prepare your favorite song to perform. To pay tribute to Cole’s passions, attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite Jurassic Park or dinosaur attire.

As we gather to celebrate Cole’s life, we remember the laughter he brought, the love he shared, and the joy he found in every moment. His memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.
